I like the fact that you pointed out the symbolism of the colors in these shots, representing blacks and whites in society. I thought it was also notable how the whites in the image were orange tinted, due to the dust. For me, it symbolizes how the purity of white society has lessened as whites are forced into poverty just like blacks. When blacks and whites are equals, whites are somehow corrupted and less pure than before.
I find it very interesting that you guys looked a lot at the layout of your scene, taking into account the different positions of Scarlett and the different colors throughout the scene.
wow! I didnt even pick that up the first time seeing it! I very much liked how much you guys focused on the depiction of colors in this scene, Looking back now, colors in this scene are very purposeful. Id also mention how Scarlet feels like she has been misplaced in the bustling urbanized city of Atlanta, which also points to the way in which Scarlet has not yet lost the old ways of the south. Everything in this scene is quick and purposeful. Scarlet however contradicts everything else by being lost and confused, she is in a sense, the old south.
